Latitude 22+ seems old enough to have hosted Steinbeck himself, what with the vast amount of weathered fishing memorabilia hanging about. Truth be told, it's been around more than a decade and is also the HQ of the Pete Lopiccola Charity Fishing Tournament tirelessly promoted by owner and local good guy Mike Grzanich. This is a casual joint to say the least, nothing pretentious, an affordable local hangout with consistently good belly-warming food. The walls reek of atmosphere; you won't find this type of restaurant bar anywhere else in Los Cabos. The long, nautical plank bar buzzes with conversation and sports TV's, while the dining room is packed with diners chowing down on Croatian slow-roasted Prime Rib, Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken Fried Steak and other tasty plates. Check out the Blues Brothers for a real fish story. On March 3, 2004, Latitude 22+ moved to its new location along the Transpeninsular Highway at Km 4.5. The new Latitude 22+ Roadhouse Restaurant Bar seats 120 patrons with ample parking and cooks over a mesquite grill with a mesquite oven.
